3M Scotch® 8898 is a high-strength film strapping tape featuring a tensilized polypropylene film backing and a pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive. It is designed for temporary holding and securing of components during transportation, assembly and industrial applications. The tape provides high initial adhesion and holding power while allowing clean removal from certain surfaces, including metal. It offers good resistance to breaking, abrasion, moisture and scuffing.
